7-22 Installing and Conﬁguring Clusters

In this example, both networks are conﬁgured so that both can be

used for internal cluster communication. The next dialog window

offers an option to modify the order in which the networks are used.

Because Private Cluster Connection represents a direct connection

between nodes, it remains at the top of the list.

In normal operation, this connection is used for cluster

communication. In case of the Private Cluster Connection failure,

Cluster Service automatically switches to the next network on the

list—in this case Public Cluster Connection.

8. Verify that the ﬁrst connection in the list is the Private Cluster

Connection, then click on Next.

Note: Always set the order of the connections so that the Private

Cluster Connection is ﬁrst in the list.
